Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of cemap·coach ("the Service"), operated by SKP Tech ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Service you agree to these terms.

1. The Service

cemap·coach is an independent digital revision tool for the CeMAP and FSRE mortgage examinations. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or approved by the London Institute of Banking & Finance (LIBF), Walbrook Institute London, or any other awarding body. CeMAP® is a registered trademark of its respective owner.

The Service does not offer regulated financial advice, mortgage advice, or any FCA-regulated activity.

2. Account

You must be 18 or over to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms or are used fraudulently.

3. Access limits

Free accounts may access Topic 1 content and a limited mock exam. Paid access unlocks the full syllabus for the purchased modules. Access is limited to two devices per account at any time.

4. Acceptable use

You may not share your account, redistribute content, scrape or copy the question bank, attempt to reverse-engineer the Service, or use it in any way that infringes third-party rights.

5. Intellectual property

All content in the Service — lessons, questions, flashcards, UI, and copy — is owned by or licensed to us. You may not reproduce or redistribute it without written permission.

6. Accuracy

We make every effort to keep content accurate and aligned with the current spec. However, we do not guarantee that content is free of errors or that it will ensure you pass your exam. You are responsible for verifying content against official LIBF/Walbrook materials.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability for loss arising from use of the Service, including exam failure, loss of earnings, or data loss. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. We will notify you of material changes by email.

Privacy Policy

This policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal data when you use cemap·coach.

1. Data we collect

• Account data: email address, name (if provided), authentication method (email/Google)
• Study data: quiz scores, topic mastery, mock results, flashcard progress, PassIQ scores — stored locally on your device and synced to our servers
• Usage data: pages visited, features used, session duration — collected via PostHog analytics
• Payment data: payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store card details. We receive confirmation of purchase and the amount paid.
• Device data: device identifier stored to enforce the two-device access limit

2. How we use your data

• To provide and personalise the Service
• To send you emails about your account, progress, and (for free users) upgrade offers
• To enforce access controls and prevent fraud
• To improve the Service through aggregated analytics

3. Legal basis (UK GDPR)

We process your data on the basis of contract (to provide the Service you signed up for) and legitimate interests (improving the Service and fraud prevention). For marketing emails, we rely on legitimate interests where you are an existing user, or consent where required.

4. Data sharing

We share data with:

• Supabase — database and authentication (EU servers)
• Stripe — payment processing
• Resend — transactional email
• PostHog — product analytics (EU servers)
• Anthropic — AI tutor responses (your questions are sent to Claude via our proxy; we do not store the content of AI conversations)

We do not sell your data to third parties.

5. Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active, plus 12 months. Study progress data is retained for the life of your account. You can request deletion at any time.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data. Email hello@cemapcoach.uk and we will respond within 30 days.

7. Cookies

We use a session cookie for authentication. PostHog uses a first-party analytics cookie. No third-party advertising cookies are used.

Refund Policy

14-day right to cancel

Under UK consumer law (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013) you have the right to cancel a digital purchase within 14 days of buying, unless you have already started using the digital content.

Because cemap·coach grants immediate access to digital content on purchase, you waive your right to cancel at the point of purchase. This is standard practice for digital content under Regulation 37 of the Consumer Contracts Regulations.

Goodwill refunds

If you have a genuine issue — duplicate payment, technical fault that prevents access, or purchase by mistake before using any content — contact us at hello@cemapcoach.uk within 7 days. We will review each case individually and issue a refund where it is reasonable to do so.

What we do not refund

• Purchases where content has been accessed
• Change of mind after accessing the Service
• Failure to pass the real CeMAP exam
• Purchases made more than 14 days ago

How to request a refund

Email hello@cemapcoach.uk with your email address and the date of purchase. We aim to respond within 2 business days.

Chargebacks

We encourage you to contact us before initiating a chargeback. We will cooperate fully with any card issuer dispute process.
